Back To School!

It’s that time already! Well, almost. Not quite time for school, but definitely time for shopping!

We have year-round school in our area, so we start up on August 4th. We also wear uniforms here, so my shopping is very easy! And I am so pleased to say that I am almost done! Annie needs to pick out a lunchbox, and I’ll need to grab a few school supplies, but I don’t get my list until the 21st so I’m stuck until then.

Anyway, since my own daughter can’t have a special BTS outfit, I’ll have to be content making them for other kids! A couple of my customers requested something very classicly themed, so here it is! I have this set listed on auction right now, and also available in my store.

I’d be happy to make a boy’s set also, I just don’t have easy access to male models so I generally skip them!

I felt like such a hypocrite making this dress since I don’t actually allow my own children to watch SpongeBob. In fact, they were somewhat traumatized when they saw mommy sewing this baby up. I’m not even gonna think about what kind of life lesson I taught them there. Oy.

Anyway, I think it turned out pretty darn cute, even if it is Spongebob. Hope you like it Jen!

I am so behind on bows! A very dear customer has been ever so patiently waiting on me, and even though I have them done now I can’t seem to remember to mail them. I’m sending them free of charge though, to make up for my appalling lack of punctuality. She’s a great customer and I am an absolute dog for making her wait this long.

So at least there are some perks to buying from me. I’m usually super fast, and when I’m not you get free stuff. Hey, maybe I should get a delivery job for Dominoes…

I still don’t know how to set up a slideshow, but I’m forging ahead regardless. And in keeping with the complaining theme (this blog is off to a depressing start!)…

I’m in a major design rut. My darling daughters are my inspiration, and my eager models, so I’ve designed to please. I realize now that I’ve been overly acommodating, since at the ripe old ages of two-and-a-half and five they have decided they will from this point forward wear nothing but skirts. Twirl skirts to be more specific, and stripwork twirl skirts to be exact. Oh sure, I’m able to slip in the (very occasional) patchwork twirl skirt, but that’s as varied as their wardrobe gets these days.

What’s a mom to do? You have to pick your battles and this isn’t one I’m interested in fighting, so I’ve caved. I make lots and lots of twirl skirt and tee sets these days. And I get outrageously excited when I get an order for something that is NOT a twirl set.

This is a cute set from a few months ago that’s been a big seller for me. It was close enough to being a twirl set that I was able to talk Annie into some cute pictures – though she hasn’t worn it since.

And they’re not even teenagers yet! I think I may be in trouble…

that’s what this blog is. kinky. as in full of kinks. i cannot even tell you how much time i spent on this tonight (too much) and it still isn’t right! why can i not make my slideshow appear?
